As a military brat, Margaret Aikens spent her childhood packing and unpacking books. She credits her love of writing to her father’s collection of science fiction novels and to the blue-haired lady at the mobile library who gifted her a copy of The Time Machine in fifth grade.

Margaret holds certifications in website design from FSU and has worked as an SEO copywriter and content manager since 2008.

Living in Beaufort, SC, for fifteen years granted rapt inspiration for her debut novel, Whims of God. From Beaufort’s soft, silky marshes to its moss-heavy oak trees framing the shore, Beaufort’s primal resonance will always remain an integral part of Margaret’s heart.
